What kind of film for my camera?

Recently interested in film and cameras. I can not say I know I have yet much to learn. I was wondering how to determine which type of film to buy for my camera. I'm on the Contax, Leica, Olympus and brands. Point and shoot and rangefinders. Me like the look of the film has ended. When I look for the film has a series of numbers and other things.
